FAQ

Questions people often ask about TAHISA (Tanzania Health Information Science Association), TAHISSA at UDOM, and what you will find on this website.

TAHISA is the national professional body for health information science and digital health in Tanzania. TAHISSA is the TAHISA student association at the University of Dodoma (HIS programmes). The About page explains leadership for both the national association and the chapter; official documents and the national executive table are on Governance.

Membership is for students, graduates, health workers, ICT professionals, researchers, and institutions who support health informatics and digital health in Tanzania. Open the Membership page for categories, fees (if listed), and the application flow TAHISA publishes there.

Use News for announcements and long-form updates (including MOFATE collaboration items where featured). Use Events for dates, venues or online links, and Projects for the catalogue by reporting year (for example the NextGen showcase grid when you select the current year). The home page highlights recent items in the feed.

When TAHISA or partners such as MOFATE host a live session, the News or Events entry and the dedicated brief page (where we publish one) include the time (EAT), platform, and link—for example Google Meet. Join only through links published on this site or official partner channels.

No. TAHISA is a professional association, not a degree-granting institution. Qualifications come from universities and colleges. The Learning Hub section on this site points to open learning material and pathways; any attendance record for a specific workshop is described in that event’s notice, not as a replacement for academic credit.

Use the Contact page form and choose a clear subject (for example “Membership”, “Partnership”, or “Event enquiry”) so the executive committee can route your message. For quick questions, the site may also list WhatsApp or email in the header or footer—use those for the same topics you would send through the form.
